When y’all use the
Korean Drama Suggestion
chatroom, your objective is
not
just to tell me a show is good. (I GET A LOT OF RECOMMENDATIONS EVERYWHERE ELSE...I NEED A FEW SPOTs FREE OF CLUTTER SO I DONT MISS A TREND)
Your objective is to make a case strong enough that I’m willing to
skip a poll and ignore democracy
like I did for
Perfect Crown
and
Filing for Love
.
I get so many recommendations at this point that I’m honestly numb to people telling me a show is amazing and then giving me the synopsis.
Everybody thinks
their
show is good.
I’ve never read a synopsis that sounded bad.
So that part usually does nothing for me.
What I’m looking for is a
mathematical argument
.
NOT AN EMOTIONAL ONE
Show me:
this show is going viral
it’s the
#1 trending show on Netflix
YouTuber So-and-So already has
X amount of views
reacting to it
people are clearly supporting this type of reaction
clips, trailers, and buzz are already moving
That’s what matters to me.
Because this is a
reaction channel
.
I am
only
looking for information that suggests the
reaction will do well
.
I am
not
looking for a pitch about how good the story is. There are plenty of dope stories out there, and people still won’t tune in to watch the reaction.
Now to be clear — do I sometimes react to shows just for the love of the game?
Yes.
Art of Sarah, Perfect Crown, Filing for Love
— I wasn’t sitting there obsessed with the view math on those.
But here’s the thing:
You usually are
not
going to sell me by trying to sell me.
I clam up almost instantly when people start hard-pitching me their show.
BUUUUUUT
…
I do pay attention when I see people talking to
each other
naturally.
That’s how
Can This Love Be Translated
got my attention.
That’s how
Filing for Love
got my attention.
I saw people excited
together
in the Korean chat — not trying to convince me directly, not writing me a sales pitch, just genuinely talking about it and being hype.
That feels organic.
That feels real.
That makes me look into it.
So the truth is:
It is mostly pointless to keep telling me how good the story is.
I am looking for
numbers
,
momentum
, and
visible audience interest
.
And honestly, I’m more likely to notice a show when I see
multiple people excited together
than when I see one person trying to campaign for it by themselves.
TLDR
Don’t try to sell me the story.
Sell me the
audience
.
And even better — talk to
each other
, not just to me.
If I see real excitement from multiple people, and it doesn’t feel like one random person pushing their favorite show, I will absolutely consider it.
Otherwise just stick to recommending the show in the comment secions or under the posts we collect for the polls
